Everyone wants to be successful, but those who have demonstrated success all agree it cannot be achieved alone. Numerous couples have exemplified that the path to success is populated with loved ones, colleagues, and people who provided support along the way (Such as Talener). In case you are from the South (I am, so it’s totally kosher to say), then you are aware that the technology industry is hotter than a jalapeno you unexpectedly ate in your taco salad. In my oh so humble opinion, the true measure of success in the world of technology is who you are cuddling with next to the fire on a cold winter day, or who you are matching “Kiss the cook” aprons with for your 4th of July barbeque. Power couples are dominating and turning the industry into an entrepreneurial dynasty. Allow me walk you through some notable examples.
Ali Pincus founded the leading flash sales site for home markets, One Kings Lane, back in 2009. She is happily married to the founder and CEO of Zynga, Mark Pincus, who founded his company only 3 months prior Ali’s.
The COO of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg, is happily married to David Goldberg the CEO of Survey Moneky – you know, those customizable surveys all your friends made you fill out during their semester in marketing research back in college.
Finally, what could only be cupid’s favorite Silicone Valley power couple, Sergey Brin and Anne Wojicicki. According to Business Insider Sergey met his wife Anne while renting her sister’s garage for an office. This gOffice (vernacular for high profile techies whose first office was a garage) was where the multinational internet and software corporation we now know as Google was born! Obviously Anne is no ordinary housewife, she founded 23andMe in 2007 – a genomics and biotechnology company.
And the list goes on…

Sean Wolfe, was found through the talent acquisition managers in our SF office. Coming out of Chicago Mercantile Exchange as an Automation Engineer, Sean is a brilliant guy who possesses exceptional communication skills and was an obvious hot candidate. It was clear from our first interaction that we would be able to get him out to a number of opportunities due to the wide set of skills he amassed through his work at companies including Ticketfly and Ticketmaster. Sean was also very skilled at articulating his knowledge succinctly.
Within one hour our Talener SF office was able to set up a phone interview with Expedia and schedule an onsite the following day which resulted in a offer the same day.
Our client, Expedia, one of the largest travel sites in the world, had been looking for someone like Sean for quite some time.
Sean is also a very talented Tango dancer. He lived in Argentina for a year to pursue his passion for tango dancing. He is also a avid pickup basketball player
We wish Sean the best, and are enthusiastic about the growth potential with Expedia in the near future.

Talener Group, LLC, through their continuing efforts to support the communities in which their employees live and work, will offer the skills and facilities of their New York staff and office to support the PTA’s efforts in Larchmont and Mamaroneck to increase awareness about the upcoming vote. According to Liz Paras, President of Murray PTA, “Our objective as a PTA is to get the word out that people should vote; we are not telling people how to vote.”
Using a script provided by the PT Council Budget Communications team, on Monday night, May 14, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (the night before voting begins), Talener will have its NYC staff of 23+ place calls to registered voters in the Mamaroneck School District, reminding them to get out and vote the next day at their local elementary schools.
Talener has been looking for a way to give back to communities and support causes that are important to the Talener Family beyond just writing a check. Putting our trained professional sales staff and our corporate operations staff to work to support this initiative is a fantastic initial step. Social responsibility and community involvement are important values of Talener Group and our employees and we are happy to be able to support this “Get Out and Vote!” initiative for the Mamaroneck-Larchmont PT Council and the Murray School PTA!
