With over 50 years of experience, our client is the world's leader in the collection and distribution of airline fare and fare-related data.
Using their designed systems, they collect data and fare information from over 400 airlines world-wide, then distributes it to online travel agents, global distribution systems, and other computer reservation systems. They offer a unique feature to their clients which permits the loading of automated pricing rules, with minimal human intervention. This allows new fares to be sold in the marketplace in the shortest time possible.

Job Description

This role is for a seasoned Java Developer. While the role is for a seasoned Java Developer, our client will consider a confident junior Java Developer or a newly senior-level developer. The ideal candidate is dedicated to their craft and is looking forward to joining a tight knit applications solution delivery team. Responsibilities will include leading analysis, design, development, testing, integration, debugging, documenting & implementation of new projects. Likewise, this person will produce technical projects, designs, documents & architectural strategies & standards into their solutions. From unit and integration test strategies to leading development of of implementation plans , this role is a critical part of our client's organization.

Someone who can work independently and collaboratively is highly desired. The position will require the right person to formulate high-level and detailed estimate for analyses, project planning and impact assessments. Overall, the Java Developer has leadership qualities that allow to work across teams, with a diverse group of people. Knowledge sharing and being proactive are both skills that this person should possess.

Required Skills
  • Minimal 5+ years of technical experience required
  • Extensive Experience working with Java
  • NoSQL Databases (preferably Neo4j, Redis, MongoDB)
  • Spring

  • Mercurial

Additional Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Preferred
  • Industry Experience Desired
